The Shale Gas Revolution and the Philippines

I believe that the Shale Gas Revolution and reducing energy price are good to Philippine economy.

In comparison to China, the Philippines failed to develop manufacturing industry because of lack of infrastructure. The Philippines has developed service industry like call-centers and English language schools.

Service industries in the Philippines requires educated human resources. However, employment for many uneducated people is insufficient. It can be said “anemic”.

I hope Philippine politicians will make the use of the chance that will come with the US economy flourishing by the Shale Gas Revolution. Filipinos can get jobs which are contracted with American customers.

The Shale Gas Revolution and China

Shale is a kind of rock which exists in deep underground and it contains natural gas. No one could ever get gas from shale before, but Americans have developed the way to obtain it. The US will use the gas and quit importing crude oil.

This is what you called, “The Shale Gas Revolution”. Shale gas reduces energy prices. There are three forecast about the US and China economy correlated with it.

One sees that reducing energy price removes restraint on economic growth of China. China can get energy at low price and raise their economy. It will also raise America’s economy as well.

Another sees that the reducing energy price makes manufacturing industry grow again in the US. It means that manufacturing industry will come back to the US from China. China’ s economy will go bust.

Other sees the Shale Gas Revolution overestimated its role. Jim Rogers said that it won’t affect the world economy so much.

It’s hard to know which opinion is right. Especially, I want to know about momentum of China’s economy. I think Chinese economy will rise by the Shale Gas Revolution because Chinese politicians seems to prepare for it. They are committed to a consumption-led economy. I believe it is a good opportunity to invest in China.

A friend of mine suffers from baldness. He is a barber. He need to show he isn't bald. He combs his hair in order to pretend his hair is thick. His skill as a barber is useful to do it.

A zumba lesson in Cebu

I've studied English at a language school for one month. It was last September. At the school I also had a zumba lesson. It was held once a week. But I often got sick in the latter part of last September. So I could have only one zumba lesson.

The teacher of zumba lesson was a bakla. He or she danced like a woman. It was sexy. Students at the lesson were girls except me. The dance suited girls, but it didn't me. I was weird.

Filipino people are open to gay or lesbian people. Of course I am. But, most of Japanese aren't. Most of us are closed to minorities. I wish Japanese become open to minorities.

A boy in Cebu City

On Saturday, A boy just came out from Barrio Luz Elementary School at about 6 PM. He asked me, "What's your nationality?" I answered, "I'm Japanese." Then, he said, "Do you have some money?" I replied, "Huh?", in an angry tone. He went away hastily and said "Bye." I thought he was very rude.

EV Academy in Cebu

At EV Academy, we have two man-to-man lessons in a day. Each man-to-man lesson is 75 minutes.

We also have a grammar lesson, a presentation lesson and two optional lessons. Each lesson is 75 minutes too.

We can choose an optional lesson among many ones. They are TOEIC preparation, American accent, business English, etc.

We also have two short tests in a day. And we have to study by myself at least 1 hour 50 minutes in a day. Some students study more.

Some grammar teachers are native English speakers. Only excellent students can have lessons from them, but I can't.

An advantage of regular savings plan

I've realized an advantage of regular savings plan of unit trusts. Regular savings plan of unit trusts can regularly get cash which makes them able to invest boldly. It raises the funds' performance.

Open-end trusts should preserve cash to be ready for cancel. It restricts the way of investments.

My goal of learning English

Hello. I'm Koichi Ishida. Nice to meet you.

I live in Tokyo, Japan.

Presently, I'm jobless. I live on just my investments.
I invest in company stocks, unit trusts, and the US dollar via stock broker companies in Japan.

I have a saving account at a bank in Hong Kong. I want to invest via the bank. The law allows that in Hong Kong.

In Japan, a banking service and a stock trading service must be separated by law. A bank can't provide both a banking service and a stock trading service.

In Japan, a bank should provide only a banking service, and stock trading service is provided by a stock broker company.

The law in Hong Kong is different from the one in Japan.

To start an investment in Hong Kong, I need to open an investment account at the bank in addition to a saving account.

To open an investment account, I have to have an interview at the bank. I have to show I understand the risk of investments at the interview.

Passing the interview is my goal of learning English.

I bought 5 million yen of company stocks today.

I bought 5 million yen of company stocks today. It was wrong order. I wanted to buy 500 thousand yen of them. I was very upset then. I immediately ordered to sell all of the stocks at little higher price than the price I bought.

I was very anxious whether I could sell them or not. After one hour, I sold all of them. I was relieved indeed. And I bought 500 thousand yen of the stocks again.

I've earned 650 thousand yen through stock trading this year to date. Things are going well.

I saw a dentist today, too.

I saw a dentist last Saturday and was treated. When I came back home, I noticed there was a very faint line on my front tooth. It seemed a crack on my tooth. I was very upset.

I saw the dentist today and told that. She checked my front tooth and scratched it. The line on my tooth vanished. The line was a fragment of plastic to fill the ground tooth. I was relieved!
